PrinterLogic - Adding a Printer - Start Here
How to add a printer on Windows, Mac, and Linux using the PrinterLogic Client
- If you already have PrinterLogic installed, it should appear in the Task Bar (Step 2) of your respective OS.
- To determine if you already have it installed, look for the icon in the following location depending on your operating system:

- If you are prompted to install the browser extension instead, please visit the article PrinterLogic - Installing the Web Browser Extension to install the web browser extension.
- If you don't see the icon there, and are not prompted to install the browser extension, you may be using an unmanaged machine. If this is the case, please visit the article PrinterLogic - Desktop Client Installation for client installation instructions.
- If you are prompted to install the browser extension instead, please visit the article PrinterLogic - Installing the Web Browser Extension to install the web browser extension.
- Right click on the icon and select "Add Printer...".
- If prompted, click "UMD" in the "Login with" prompt. If this doesn't work, instructions for Printerlogic - Web Login Page Instructions are here.
- You may see a warning that "The server returned an invalid response and could not be processed" - this warning can be safely ignored and should auto-load to the next screen.
- Select the printer you want based on department and building through the drop down menus. Your view of the department and buildings will likely be limited to what is applicable to you.
- Click on the printer and you will be prompted for whether you want to add the printer or not with a check box option to make the new printer a default.
- The printer driver and configuration is then set up on your computer.
- The printer is then successfully installed. Printing is done normally and goes directly to the printer from your computer.
