PrinterLogic - Desktop Client Installation
This document details how to install the Desktop Client (the TaskBar Tray icon) on your computer.
This installation should be handled by Engineering IT if you are using a managed computer.
If you are using an unmanaged computer (meaning it is not UMD-owned, or you handle the management directly), you will be prompted for an activation code during the installation. Please contact Engineering IT Help (eit-help@umd.edu or 301-405-1634) for this code prior to installing.
Windows
- To begin, click this link to visit the Printerlogic Engineering IT management in a web browser.
- If you see the prompt below, you need to install the client. This should be automatically done on fully managed machines. Click install which will download the installation file.
- Go to your downloads folder (can vary based on the browser settings you have set up) and double click on the file that was downloaded which should bring up the prompt below. Click Yes.
- You should now see an Install Shield wizard prompt. Click next which will bring up the prompt below. Click Install.
- Select OK after the installation completes.
- You should now be able to login using these instructions.
Mac
- To begin, click this link to visit the Printerlogic Engineering IT management in a web browser.
- If you see the prompt below, you need to install the client. This should be automatically done on fully managed machines. Click install which will download the installation file.
- Go to your downloads folder (can vary based on the browser settings you have set up) and double click on the file that was downloaded which should bring up the prompt below. Click Continue.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to progress the installation. You may be asked to enter your password. If so, please do so to proceed with installation.
- Select OK after the installation completes.
- You should now be able to login using these instructions.
