Log in to Claude for Clark School Faculty, Staff, & Students Only

For paid use, ensure you have a license

Note

The Clark School does not currently fund subscriptions to Claude centrally, you are responsible for paid subscriptions. Engineering IT is collecting interest via this Google Form but does not currently have plans to support a college-wide deployment due to the unpredictable cost of inference.

There are two pathways for paid use of Claude in the Clark School.

1. Email eds@umd.edu with a Driver Worktag and request that we add your users to our Claude Team plan. We will bill back to your Driver Worktag at current subscription rates based on the license type you select, standard or premium. We currently have plenty of headroom in our team plan to add users. When we reach capacity, this option will no longer be available.
2. Have your business office create a Claude Team subscription on claude.ai. You / your business office will manage this Claude Team separately and are responsible for billing.

Log in to Claude

When you have received confirmation from our team that you have a license, follow the steps below to log in to Claude.

1. Go to https://claude.ai in a browser.
2. Enter your UMD email address in the login box. Do not log in with Google.
3. Click the Log in with SSO button that appears after you type in your email.
4. You will be automatically provisioned onto the Claude Team plan.

Troubleshooting

I don't see the team / I am still on the free version of Claude.
Please log out and then log back in. Ensure you choose the Log in with SSO button that appears after you enter your email address in the log in box.

I have logged out and back in and am still on the free version of Claude.
Click your profile in the bottom left corner of the screen and see if you can switch to the University of Maryland - Clark School organization. If no organization appears, please email eds@umd.edu so we can help.

I am not affiliated with the Clark School but want to access Claude.
Please work with your departmental business office to purchase either an individual Claude subscription or a Claude Team plan. You may still log in with SSO, however you will need to switch to your organization after logging in.
