How To Connect To Eduroam On Ubuntu

Instructions to connect to eduroam on Ubuntu

Step 1: Navigate to eduroam and click on it: 

  • Click on the Wi-Fi icon in top right corner of the screen or open the settings app and navigate to the Wi-Fi tab

Step 2: Configure the security settings

  • Change the authentication to Protected EAP (PEAP)
  • Select 'No CA certificate is required'
  • Enter UMD email as the username. Ex: ojieok@umd.edu
  • Enter UMD Password
  • Click Connect

The Security configuration should look similar to the image below:
