Services Delay: DivIT AD Sync Pause, Thurs 8/6 - Mon 8/10

As part of the migration to Campus' new identity platform (Fischer), synchronization services that populate objects in Active Directory (AD) and Microsoft Entra ID will be temporarily disabled from Thursday, August 6 at 12:00 PM through Monday, August 10 at 12:00 PM. This will cause a delay in EIT's ability to complete computer images until Monday.

The following will be impacted in the EIT Service Desk until after the pause is lifted on Monday:

  • We will be unable to add new devices to Intune to complete their configurations
  • Device hostname changes, if any, will be out of sync between AD and Entra
  • Grouper groups and AD will not sync- this may present some issues for onboarding new staff members
    • VPN access
    • New Crashplan users may not be automatically be granted accounts
  • PrinterLogic - adding users to new access groups will not work until after the pause
