DNCA policy regarding when a device is going to leave UMD ownership for any reason

DNCA policy regarding when a unit wants to sell or transfer a device to a faculty, staff, or anyone else for any reason

All designated non-capital assets (DNCA) must be returned when the assigned user of that asset leaves UMD.  Capital assets are already tightly controlled and fall under similar restrictions.

To request an exception, you can use the DNCA exception form below.  The request form is intended for situations where a unit, department, or requesting party believes there are extenuating circumstances that warrant operating outside of established DNCA policies or procedures.  Requests are granted on a case-by-case basis and are rarely approved even if the local unit approves.
