The blog.umd.edu platform is a managed WordPress Multisite environment (powered by CampusPress/Edublogs) available to the University of Maryland community. This article provides an overview of the plugins and themes available to site administrators.
Plugins
Plugins extend the functionality of your blog.umd.edu site. The following plugins are available for activation by site administrators. They are grouped by category for easier browsing.

Themes
blog.umd.edu offers over 200 themes. The platform default is Edublogs Default. You can browse the full library in your dashboard under Appearance > Themes and use Live Preview to test any theme before activating it.
Clark School Branded Themes (Built by Engineering IT)

Build Your Own Design with Divi
If the pre-built themes don't fit your needs, the Divi theme and Divi Builder plugin are both available on the platform, giving you full drag-and-drop control over your site's design without writing code. The Divi Accessibility plugin is also available to help meet WCAG 2.0 guidelines on Divi-powered sites.

The platform includes 200+ additional themes across a range of styles. Browse and preview them all under Appearance > Themes in your dashboard.
Getting Started
- Activate a theme: Go to Appearance > Themes in your site dashboard, browse the available options, and click Activate on your preferred theme. Use Live Preview to test a theme before activating it.
- Enable plugins: Go to Plugins in your site dashboard and click Activate next to any plugin you'd like to use.
